This research aims to find out whether there is a relationship between shyness with problematic internet use on students who used social media. This research use quantitative research with correlation method. The measurements used in this study are GPIU2 (Generalized Problematic Internet Use 2) to measure problematic internet use and RCBS (The Revised Cheek and Buss Shyness Scale) to measure shyness. The amount of the respondents are 204 college students who using social media. From the data analysis results obtained the correlation value is 0.453 with p of 0.000. Which means, there is a correlation between shyness and problematic internet use on students who used social media. The correlation grade is medium
