ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the methods of Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Just In Time (JIT)
in optimizing the supply of carpet raw materials at PT Dharmesta Swasti Mandiri. The research
type was quantitative descriptive research. Data sources and data collection were conducted by
interview to obtain primary and secondary data of the company. The results of the analysis prove
that the JIT method based on the average inventory level can more optimize the supply of carpet
raw materials compared with the calculations that have been done by the company and the EOQ
method analysis. To meet the needs of carpet raw materials in 2017 as many as 15,942 roll the
company issued inventory cost of Rp. 8,130,452,325. While in the JIT analysis the company spent
on inventory cost of Rp. 1.626.090.465. So the company could save inventory cost of Rp.
6504.361.860. Unlike the results of the company's EOQ analysis cost of inventory of Rp.
2,366,793,466,3. So the company could save inventory cost of Rp. 5,763,658,858,7. Based on the
analysis, PT Dharmesta Swasti Mandiri should apply JIT method based on the average inventory
level so that it could optimize the supply of raw materials of Sienta, Yaris, Avanza, Calya, Rush,
and Agya carpet car rugs.
