Investigating the Mediation Effect of Employability and Innovative Behavior on Job Involvement: Perspective of Transformational Leadership



This study investigates the effect of transformational leadership on job involvement in mediating employability and innovative behavior. The research data was collected by a questionnaire through the survey method. The sample of this research is 170 lecturers selected by purposive sampling. Data analysis uses path analysis and supported by descriptive statistics and correlational. The results reveal that transformational has a positive and significant effect on job involvement, both direct and indirect effect by mediating employability and innovative behavior. Thus, the lecturer’s job involvement can be improved through transformational leadership, employability, and innovative behavior. Therefore a fit research model about the effect of transformational leadership on job involvement mediating by employability, and innovative behavior was found. This model can be discussed among researchers and practitioners in developing models of job involvement in the various contemporary context of the future.
