Abstract
This research aims to design a model of human resource management in the private university by applying the good governance principles and exploring the factors which influenced the application of good governance principles on the human resource manageme nt. There were plenty of researches about human resource management. Nevertheless, the research of human resource management which was suitable with the good governance, had not been done yet. The advantage of this research, acquired the application’s information in the good governance steps and contributed to the human resource management model at the tertiary level to improve and develop good governance principles.
In this research, used soft system methodology. It explained the complex combination, gained from the social factors, cultural, economy, psychology, legal and communication. Soft system methodology is a response to complex and pluralist situations. The data collection done by the observations, deep interview, documentation study and focus group discussion.
The result of research, was considered by the situational analysis whereas human resource management, had not been done yet comprehensively on all of steps. Meanwhile, the model was acquired from the soft system methodology. There were three conceptual formulation models: the conceptual implementation model of good university governance principles, governance information system of conceptual development model, conceptual evaluation model of human resource management’s performance, the recommendation of improvement steps in human resource management at the private university by applying good university governance.
