A novel non-invasive electric-field-based neuro imaging, named brain capacitometer, providesreal-time measurement of voltage value changes that represent the brain activity. Previous pilot study had reported the increase of voltage value in an adolescent while playing two types (puzzle and action) video games. However, the difference between voltage values changes while playing traditional-based and video-game-based game is still remains unclear. In this study we measure for the first time, the changes of voltage value in three healthy adolescents while playing traditional-based chess that compared with video-game-based chess.Two-electrode brain capacitometer located on Fpl region that cover the left prefrontal cortex used for experiment. Similar patterns of voltage value changes recorded on video-game-based chess, we found different pattern between traditional-based and video-game-based. Based on this research, we conclude that social contact with opposite during traditional-based game give different brain activity response than less social contact condition.
