Antioxidant Effects Test Ethanol Exctract 70% of Leaf Radish (Raphanus Sativus L.) Based on the Concentration of Malondiladehid and the Activity Superoxide Dismutase in Mice
Leaf Radish (Raphanus sativus L.) has a compound of flavonoid which has
activity as an antioxidant. (Raphanus sativus L.) based on the concentrate of
malondialdehyde (MDA) and activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD). Mice
were divided into 6 groups; normal control group, negative control group,
positive control group (vitamin C 2,6 mg/20gBB), and 3 dose group extract
ethanol 70% leaf radish (Raphanus sativus L.) (5,6; 11,2; 22,4 mg/20gBB). The
measurement of MDA levels was perfomed by the Wills and measurement of
SOD activity was perfomed by Adrenochrome Assay. The result of MDA
concentrations in normal group, negative control group, positive control group,
and dose group 5,6 mg/20gBB; 11,2 mg/20gBB; 22,4 mg/20gBB respectively
were 2,1617 nmol/mL; 5,3075 nmol/mL; 2,3331 nmol/mL; 4,5583 nmol/mL;
3,5957 nmol/mL; 2,6702 nmol/mL while for the measurement of SOD activity
the liver of the mice was124,2383 U/mL; 65,64 U/mL; 176,7583 U/mL;
106,045 U/mL; 134,34 U/mL; 153,53 U/mL. The conclusion of the results is
extract ethanol 70% of leaf radish (Raphanus sativus L.) has the
antioxidantactivity by decreasing the concentration of MDA and increasing the
activity of SOD
